This year's Squad comprises a diverse group of beauty enthusiasts with unique perspectives, backgrounds, and interests. We are thrilled to see what the Squad will achieve during their year-long partnership with Sephora, and we are excited to work alongside them every step of the way.
As part of the Sephora Squad, members will have access to exclusive events, product launches, and opportunities to collaborate with Sephora. They can also share their knowledge and expertise with the beauty community through Sephora's platforms. We can't wait to see what this talented group of creators will achieve throughout their partnership with Sephora.
2023 is a Year for the Record Books

As our fifth year launching the Sephora Squad program, this year’s applicants did not disappoint. The incoming numbers broke several records. The Fohr team worked on reviewing over 16,000+ applications to select the 68 final Squad members, including 57 new members and 11 Squad mentors.
The excitement for the Sephora Squad program continues to grow – the number of applicants for 2023 nearly doubled compared to last year.
With passion, diligence, and outstanding efforts, we saw our 2023 applicants accrue nearly 440,000 fan testimonials to prove how strong and engaged their online communities are.
Gathering Testimonials is one of the most unique and gratifying parts of the Sephora Squad application process. In addition to written application responses, we ask applicants to gather Testimonials from their followers to showcase their impact on their communities. Amplifying underrepresented voices
The 2023 Sephora Squad includes a diverse variety of beauty lovers representing an extensive range of following sizes. Sephora can’t wait to collaborate with creators across various platforms and expertise, such as estheticians, hair stylists, trichologists, professional makeup artists, fragrance gurus, TikTok beauty stars, and Twitch streamers.
70% of this year's Squad identify as a person of color, and 14.71% of the Squad speaks Spanish. The group has impressive intergenerational reach, reaching both young and mature audiences: 42% reach is under 24 years old, 7% reach over 40 years old, and over 25% viewership is between ages 30-34.
The Squad represents a broad spectrum of complexion shades to represent and confidently speak to the importance of shade inclusivity at Sephora and, most importantly, to speak to a wide variety of audiences. Over 13% of influencers this year on the Squad identifies with he/him pronouns, tapping into a growing market for male grooming, wellness, and beauty. This diverse group of creators of all sizes, ages, and backgrounds is paving the way for an inspiring future for the beauty industry, showing that amplifying underrepresented voices is becoming more and more critical in this space.
