Welcome to Fohr Ground: a podcast about personalities in the influencer space hosted by Fohr’s Marketing Director, Tim Jeffreys.

Matt Chu is a New York based art director and fashion buyer. One glance at his Instagram and you see what he’s about: capturing unique photos and showcasing his artistic, genderless style. Having started his blog in college, his style developed over the years to be uniquely his own, beyond the box of gendered fashion.

He takes us through his style journey and how that creative process transformed his content creation. We hear about his strong sense of visual language, his upbringing surrounded by art, and how he balanced creative pursuits while attending the business school at New York University.

It’s hard to imagine that Matt works full-time as a fashion buyer at Bloomingdale’s. What we see on Instagram is only the work he does on the side. He manages these two passions through being intentional in whatever he does—whether he’s making a choice to post only 1-2 times a week or turning down events to stay at home in front of the TV. As some of his peers churn out content, he gives a refreshing perspective on posting less.
