Welcome to Fohr Ground: a podcast about personalities in the influencer space hosted by Fohr’s Marketing Director, Tim Jeffreys.

This week, we’re doing something a little different. With influencers running small businesses through Instagram, it made sense for us to sit down with brand consultant Emily Schildt who founded Pop-Up Grocer just this year. She describes herself as a naturally curious person and we’d have to agree. Her latest project is a traveling grocery store showcasing hundreds of products from the most innovative and exciting natural food brands.

The idea for Pop-up Grocer came to her in January as a ten-day temporary store in New York. In just that short trial period, she found overwhelming success and soon forged plans for a second season in the fall: a thirty-day stint back in Soho.

In this episode, Emily and Tim talk about perfectionism, why she prefers “small business owner” to “entrepreneur”, and how she finds satisfaction, and more. For influencers growing their brand, this episode is worth listening to see how another small business owner gets things done.
